Meet the Author

I would love to meet you and be a special guest at your next event. There are limited dates available, so please book your requests early!

Speaking Bio:  I am comfortable with a microphone, as I have been singing, speaking and presenting in front of large and small audiences here and overseas for the past “eh-hem” thirty-plus years.  These events range from women’s retreats, church groups, church services, school groups, classes for marriage and family therapists in training, parenting groups, marriage retreats and pre-marital workshops. I also speak in schools as I am a published children’s author and I love to meet children and read them my book. Visit my author website (www.lucindawest.com) for more details about my books and speaking.

Please reach out to me privately to schedule a speaking event.

  • Meet the Author. Invite me to your school and I will read my children’s book, share what it is like to become a published author, and encourage your children to read big words.
  • My Breast Cancer Journey. In this talk I will share the highs and lows of my own personal breast cancer journey, and the participants will learn ways to help a friend or family member who is being treated breast cancer.
  • The Gift of Encouragement. This half-day or full-day interactive workshop is devoted to encouragement. This is especially applicable for a women’s retreat. Participants will learn how to encourage one another, provide encouragement to one an other, and will come away feeling encouraged.
  • Toddlers, Teens and Tweens.  This half-day or one-hour workshop  includes skills training to help parents at various stages of the family life cycle effectively parent their children.
  • Hitched.  My husband and I co-present this marriage workshop, designed to help couples develop more intimate relationships with each other.  And, it’s just plain fun!
  • Ride Free! One of our favorite pastimes is to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, so my husband and I will often share stories of our rides as an intro to talks about the importance of taking care of oneself, enjoying life, and the freedom we find in Christ.
